My name is Max Tysall, I’m from Stirlingshire in Scotland. I am a subcontractor, as well as an assistant genealogist.

My role entails tracing heirs through probate research for deceased people born in Scotland, while at New Register House in Edinburgh, as well as assisting with cases out of Scotland. I also help construct family history binders.

I have worked for FWL since March 2024.

Tell us a bit about you:

I have an 11-year-old Labradoodle named Ubee after the band UB40. As well as genealogy, I absolutely love music and going to gigs. My favourite singer has to be Amy MacDonald, as for a band, that would have to be Paramore.

My favourite TV show is Still Game, a show about two old Glaswegian pensioners and their friends, following the antics they get up to. I definitely recommend it!

My aspirations are to build more on my genealogical skills as well as to travel around more of the globe.
