Introduction to GDPR
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), is a set of rules drafted by the EU. All Members must follow the regulation, which includes rules for how physical or legal persons may process personal data.
Organisations that process personal data are subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
For our business purposes, we are required to handle people’s personal information under Intestate Law. We are registered with the Information Commissioners Office (ico.org.uk) We register and agree to abide by the GDPR/Data Protection Act 2018 which states, organisations that process personal data are subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Under the Data Protection (Charges and Information) Regulations 2018 (the Regulations).
Under this regulation, we are required to publish a Privacy Policy, which is available within this section of the staff site and on our website.

If a device is locked, the applications of the device are limited. A locked unit helps to save unwanted users data. To lock your PC, just press the Windows Key and the L Key together.

If you suspect you may have breached the GDPR regulations, please speak to James. It is essential we are proactive about these instances as there are strict timescales in which to report breaches. Please review the “Personal Data Breach Policy Annex 1 – Data Breach Check List”.
Data Breach risk Assessment
Once you have established that a breach has occurred, you must complete the “Personal Data Breach Policy Annex 2 – Data Breach Risk Assessment”.
Data Breach Incident Report Form
This is followed by the “Personal Data Breach Policy Annex 3 – Data Breach Incident Report form”.
All three forms then need to be submitted to James digitally, at james@family-wise.co.uk.
A Data Breach Record is maintained by the GDPR officer.
