What does this mean?

The buck stops here! I have to make sure everything is done in the business, no matter what. Sorting out all the balls rolling around on the floor and managing the Good Ship FWL.

How long have you worked for FWL:

Well, ever since FWL was born. I had an idea that leaving my teaching job would be a good idea and I would see if I could make a career in genealogy. The rest is history!

Tell us a bit about you:

Favourite pastime:

Watching sport. Football, rugby, athletics, darts, snooker … it doesn’t matter what! Olympics and Paralympics… love it all.

Favourite TV show:

I’ll watch most reality rubbish just a background noise – Married at First Sight, Love Island (in recent years), The Bill (on Sky from yesteryear). Eastenders is my only soap. Love Race Across the World.

Favourite films:

Herbie, Sister Act, Titfield Thunderbolt (B&W – Google it 😉), Harry Potter (of course).

Do you have a pet?

I think everyone knows about my Furry Five – Master Diesel, Captain Jack Sparrow, Professor Pumpkin (aka the Ginger Boys/GBs) Miss Uno (White & Black lady) and in early 2024, the Baron – Bertie Bassett. All rescue cats with their own stories… Between them, 8 eyes and 19 legs. They keep me semi-sane.

What are your aspirations for 2024?

To continue doing what we do at FWL. Building on the fantastic team we already have, continue developing positive relationships with councils/housing associations/hospitals to work our people finding magic and keep being the best we can be.
